Jack and Lisa Towell started Finally Farm in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1982. In 1989 Finally Farm moved to its current location in Camden, South Carolina. Over the past 29 years, Finally Farm has won numerous Horse of the Year titles, Grand Prixs, and Hunter Championships, and is now one of the top hunter jumper stables in the southeast.
Jack Towell
Jack Towell began his career as a hunter/jumper trainer at the age of 17. After graduating from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC, Jack returned to the horse world and became one of the most successful trainers and developers of young riding talent in the country. Jack has earned numerous accomplishments as trainer of over 75 champions and reserve champions at Devon, Capital Challenge and the Indoor shows. He is the only trainer to be named the Pennsylvania National Horse Show Leading Junior Hunter Trainer four times, four time trainer of the overall World Champion Junior Hunter Rider, trainer of the Best Child Rider 14 times at Devon and the Indoor shows, two time trainer of the overall high score pony at the United States Equestrian Federation Pony Finals, trainer of the overall Champion Junior Hunter at the United States Equestrian Federation Junior Hunter Finals and is one of the only trainers in the country to train a Champion or Reserve Champion in every division at the year-end Indoor shows. His jumper ring accomplishments include numerous Grand Prix wins, as well as developing young jumper and equitation horses. His students also excel in the equitation ring with top ribbons at all of the finals as well as victory in the Washington Equitation Finals in 2006.
Liza Towell Boyd
Liza Towell Boyd is one of the country’s top hunter riders and trainers. As a junior, Liza was named Overall World Champion Hunter Rider three times, was second in the Washington Equitation Finals and won the Best Child Rider Award at the Washington International Horse Show four times, setting a record that remains untouched. After completing her junior career, Liza attended and graduated from the College of Charleston before returning to the family business. Since then, Liza has had an extremely successful career as both a trainer and rider; she has won 11 USHJA Hunter Derbies, was third at the USHJA Derby Finals in 2010, and was chosen by the High Performance Hunter Committee to be a member of the World Equestrian Games USHJA Hunter Derby Exhibition Team. Liza has also been the Assistant Trainer of the Leading Junior Hunter Rider at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show two times, is a three time winner of the WCHR Palm Beach Classic and has been Champion and Reserve Champion numerous times at the Indoor shows, Devon and Capital Challenge Horse Show.
Jack Hardin Towell
Hardin is 23 years old and studying Business Administration at Florida Atlantic University while still showing hunters and jumpers. As a junior, Hardin won the 2006 Washington Equitation Finals, the 2005 Overall World Champion Hunter Rider Award, the 2006 USEF East Coast Junior Hunter Finals, multiple Champion, Reserve Champion and Best Child Rider awards at the Indoor shows, Devon and Capital Challenge. In 2009 Hardin earned 8th place in the 2009 USHJA Derby Finals, however, Hardin’s true passion is the jumpers. He has six Grand Prix wins as well as numerous ribbons in various grand prixs and jumper classes. In 2010 he was invited to compete in an international competition in Seoul, Korea where he placed second and fifth. Currently, he is training numerous young jumpers and is especially excited about a young mare named Fieona, whom he has won several Grand Prix ribbons on this spring.
Blake Boyd
Blake graduated from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He is a licensed Agent with EMO Horse Insurance.
At the age of seven, Blake owned a grey Quarter Horse named “Dusty” who commanded all of his attention; together they ruled a small horse farm in South Carolina. Blake’s love for horses has never faded and he is now following his dream where horses are the center of his livelihood. He also enjoys traveling the show circuit with his wife and family.
