Elle Boyd and Little Lion Man
The Bluegrass Festival Horse Show in Kentucky offered a great preparation for the Finally Farm team’s super performances in the “USHJA Championship Week” in addition to providing our team with a fun and competitive outing at the Kentucky Horse Park.
Elle Boyd made it a winning week. She and Little Lion Man had a banner week in the Equitation ring, taking home the win in the USEF Show Jumping Talent Search, second in the WIHS Equitation Jumper Phase, third in the WIHS Overall, and third in the WEC Equitation Cup.
In the hunter ring, Elle piloted Artemis Equestrian Farm LLC’s Reston to reserve champion in the Small Junior Hunter, 16-17, division. Special thanks to Ashland Farms and Artemis Equestrian for the rides on these two horses!
It was also a fantastic Bluegrass Festival for Finally Farm’s Amateur-Owner Hunter ladies. Kristen Jones and Velveted produced beautiful rounds and secured a fourth in the Amateur-Owner Hunter, 3’6” 36 and Over section. Gigi Manigault and Creekside claimed third in the Amateur-Owner Hunter, 3’3” 18-35 Handy. Gigi also earned nice ribbons with Walk-Off in the Amateur-Owner Hunter, 18-35 division. Meredith Huddle and Bluewater secured a third in the Amateur-Owner Hunter, 3’6” 36 & Over Handy. In the jumper ring, Meredith also finished fourth in the 1.20m Amateur Jumpers riding Carnac 219.
It was such a rewarding week for these pairs!
